“Positive Post Tuesday” – Brody and Kristin

I do want to thank God for leading me to Brody and Kristin’s sites.  It has been a blessing getting to know them via cyberworld.  I do pray to someday see them if not here on earth, in heaven when the time comes, Lord willing.  You two are awesome couple and I love you guys.  It is as if I have known you for ages.  You have become another family member!  You are blessed to have each other and God has blessed you with three heritages.  When you hurt or celebrate I do too.  I love your creativity and you never cease to put a smile on my face.  Thanks friends for remaining available to be used by God for He has certainly used you and keeps doing so worldwide.  I pray God will continue to bless, guide and use you beyond your imagination.  May His face continue to shine upon you as He persist in strengthening your love for Him and one another (Proverbs 16: 3, 9)…

“Positive Post Tuesday” - Rick Goad

Rick Goad is a man after God’s own heart.  I was blessed by God with his CD at church on 28Apr2008 (Monday).  I picked the CD up from the foyer prior to serving but after prayer.  Due to the busyness of life, I was not able to listen to the CD until Wednesday of that week on my way to work and boy I was glad I did! The spirit moved and it was a great worship time as I sang out loud to our King.  I was later led with passion to share the good news through the CD.  So, I attended Wednesday night service and then picked up nine CDs.  Mind you, by the end of next day, they were gone and I believe He used me to give it to just the nine that needed to hear that message at work, yes at work–praise God!

I thank God for Rick and his wife.  Although he is no longer with us as he is now with our Daddy, I thank God for using his life and death to lead me & countless others to His throne room of grace.  Words cannot fully grasp my joy and gratefulness to God for divinely appointing the CD.  I praise God for using Rick to edify through his illness.  To God be the glory forevermore! God does build His monument for it is one thing to praise Him when all is well and another to exalt Him when facing trials and tribulations.

Please feel free to check out www.rickgoad.com.

Blessings in Christ and please check out brodyharper.com for more much needed positive posts!

We fall short…

Romans 3:23 reminds us “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and I believe it to the gut of my heart.  God knows without Him we are absolutely nothing.  Thus I pray that “He must increase, but I must decrease.  (John 3:30)”  I mean, who am I to question His authority?? He commands my very breath which is not promised to me this very second!

I ask Him to forgive our unbelief.  God is so very good and there is no trace of doubt.  He knows and holds our tomorrow.  May things that break His heart break ours.  He never fails to comfort, love, assure, and fill us anew with His grace that is ALWAYS more than sufficient for us.  If He could care for the lilies of the field, much more us…Hmmm, I often find myself speechless per His majesty.

There is nothing impossible with Him.  He desires our heart completely and loves to fulfill the desires of our hearts per His will which is always best.  Per Isaiah 55

[8] “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

[9] “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Glorious saying indeed! I love it and no matter what, all that He plans and His timing are best.  We have to remember to rest on His will and claim His promises for our Father has promised us many things that include a future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11) and He is not slack concerning His promise at all (2 Peter 3:9).

I pray His blessings upon you as you read this.  I pray His way in your life.  I pray He will continue to mold you into a child after His heart.  My prayer is that you will desire to seek Him first in all you do (Matthew 6:33) and for us–yes us to love & please Him (Micah 6:8)–in addition to loving each other with the love of God.  I pray the anointing of His Holy Spirit in your lives and those of people you encounter.

Eliphaz once advised Job, “But for me, I would seek God, and to God I would commit my cause– (Job 5:8).”  He calms the storm.  He is our strong tower and when we run to it, are safe (Proverbs 18:10).  We worship our Creator and not the creation in Spirit and in Truth.  He loves us so very much and knows our cares…

May we not worry (Philippians 4:6-7); rather, may we give Him our all this day and forever! Here are some of the treats He used to touch me today as I find delight in sharing it with you–so, partake it with me and may we embrace Him not just as part of our lives but as our very lives! I pray He will continue to meet you wherever you are and carry you through.  He does turn our mournings into dancing again as mentioned in His word (Psalm 30:11)…

Psalm 109

[26] Help me, O LORD my God! Oh, save me according to Your mercy,

[27] That they may know that this is Your hand–That You, LORD, have done it!

[28] Let them curse, but You bless; when they arise, let them be ashamed, but let Your servant rejoice.

[29] Let my accusers be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own disgrace as with a mantle.

[30] I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yes, I will praise Him among the multitude.

[31] For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn him.

Be it mountains or Goliaths, we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who strengthens us and praise the LORD for such an incomprehensible and priceless blessing.

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Psalm 5:3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.

Psalm 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.

He is our confidence and I find comfort…contentment in these words (Romans 8)–and as you know, He has many others:  [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  [28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] As it is written:  “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” [37] Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  [38] For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amen.

Review of Zondervan’s When Answers Aren’t Enough by Matt Rogers

Wow, Matt Roger’s When Answers Aren’t Enough is a God-send book! It was a book that was hard to put down.  I could not wait to continue reading it! Although with finals and so forth, I thank God for the grand opportunity of obtaining this book through Zondervan.  I read from page to page with expectation for Him to move and teach me something new.  Being that I have encountered death directly (example:  paternal grandmother and cousin) and indirectly (example:  college friends and colleague’s sister), I would say that I understood what it means to grief, never forget, and maintain that God is good through it all.  In fact, it does not have to be death, people could question God why one has to go through sexual abuse, abortion, drugs, et cetera.  However, it is not His fault for we are given choices.  Unfortunately, we are in the cocoon of this world but must pray to remain set apart as we hide in Him.  I commend Matt for painting such a reader friendly picture of life as we know and experience it.  Sometimes we know why things happen; most often we do not, just as in the case of the Bryants’ as shared by Matt.  In fact, I do thank God for the mystery of His ways because if we had known all, we would have no need of Him.  Praise God for the beauty of the lilies and the present of each moment because we ought to breath each breathe as if it was our last ad infinitum souled out to Him in service and expecting Him to work in and through us.  Just as Rebekah Bryant wrote in her spiritual journal (page 48), that is my prayer also:

“Lord, your ways are perfect, and you have a plan for me that is just what I need and exactly what you want me to do for you.  You are the one who controls me and what happens to me.  You are almighty and never say, “Oops!” Use me today for your will.”

Indeed as always, His word—the Bible comes first, but this is a must read!!!

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

–Hebrews 11:6

Hiding Place

Hmmm, not even sure where to begin.  Times with the Lord are so very priceless.  He provides what we need at the time needed.  He loves us.  As we delight in Him, He fulfills the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4).  He LOVES us.  Isn’t that amazing?! He promises and keeps.  He knows best and frankly, I am glad to exchange my wills…dreams for HIS.  He who began the good work in us will complete it (Philippians 1:6).  He gets to write all the chapters of our lives!! I thank Him for being our everything–our hiding place! May we continue to hide His words in our hearts, share it, and go wherever He desires as we represent Him in and through our lives.  May YOUR will be done always, Daddy.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

Don Moen – Hiding Place You are my hiding place
I run to You
I need Your mercy and grace
To see me through
So I’ll run to You

You are my hiding place
I run to You
I need Your mercy and grace

So I’ll run to You

You are my strength Oh God
You will uphold me
You are my shield Oh God
You will protect me

You are my strength oh God
You will uphold me
You are my shield oh God
You will protect me

You are my hiding place
I run to You

Building Up…

Attitude is everything; for instance, a praying attitude is crucial…  It is easy to wake up in the morning and scream because it is another day one has to roll out of bed and go to work and/or school.  However, thanks to God for leading Brody Harper (please pardon not sure how to link yet) to be His light…His beacon for us here on earth.  I thank God for this blogging medium and pray that we would all have the excitement and availability when the Lord steers us per His will for Brody is such an example.  Praise be to God for all the other un-named folks that I have not mentioned who are seeking Him first every moment (Matthew 6:33) come what may because He is the one that brightens our countenance in the morning through the day so that we would not succumb to complaints, rather build each other up in exhortation.

I will conclude with these verses for now as I ask God to bless, amaze and meet you wherever you are as you read this:

Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

Hebrews 10 [24] And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Oh, here is something else to ponder on:

The man who keeps busy helping the man below him won’t have time to envy the man above him. (Henrietta Mears) I would just like to take this moment for thanking God for making us one in Him.  We are His and He is ours.

In Christ Alone

In Christ Alone – Newsboys

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost it’s grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

Review: The Faith by Charles Colson and Harold Fickett

God is so very good!  Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  This is a must read!! I enjoyed the way our reason for living is broken down in a nutshell: what we believe, why we believe it, and why it means so much…God is great and am sure, will use this book for His glory. “But trying to argue that the God who spoke the universe into being is less than all-powerful is a self-refuting assertion.  The real reason for sin and evil is that God created us in His image and gave us a free will, which means we have the capacity to reject God and prefer our will to God’s.  Pride–’I can do it my way’–will always separate us from God.” [Colson and Fickett, 2008]  In Jesus’ name, I pray that we will continue to forsake all, deny ourselves, take up the cross, and follow Him.  Time is short, we must remain steadfast, for His will is utmost.  Amen.  PS:  Bible always comes first!!!!!!

His Touch

[Mark 2:17] When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.  I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Jesus touched me and changed my life forever! I have never been the same again.  The more I praise Him, the more I fall in love with Him.  He wipes my tears away and comforts me when no one else can.  He is my refuge and bukler.  I love my Daddy.  I really do, but do you know something more amazing?? He loved me first! :-) Smile because Jesus loves you too!!
