2 Corinthians 3:18
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.  And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.

Lord Jesus, I give you this year as well.  Amen!

LORD, I thank You for the priceless gift of eternal life.  Thank You for continuing to be who You are to me.  I love You, my Hope.  You are God; You promise and keep.  {Psalm 39:7; Rom 8:28}

So what is Thanksgiving all about?
“THANKS”…”GIVING”
Giving…THANKS to God for the blessings He has given you.
You know me…..shooting direct from the heart…..and this year I find it really really hard to feel thankful.  Thankful that I’ve worked really hard all of my life and have lost my income?  Thankful that I’ve been blessed to own two homes and be losing all of it as of 12/15/11?  Thankful that the economy has pushed others into starting new careers where the competition is so stiff that it is almost “impossible” to start over again?  But……BUT…..THANKFULLY I am really pretty strong (I think) that I can dig deep to be grateful for what I do have….like my health and good sense to keep moving forward…and ability to help others (which brings me great joy!).
I’ll bet I’m not the only one struggling.  Each one of you has struggles because there is no such thing as a perfect life.  Some people may put up a good front but their close, observant friends know better and stay close just in case that person needs a hug or a listening ear.  Raising children in this day and age is TOUGH – they are pushed to grow up way too fast.  Being married to someone who does not always respect you or rules the household with a heavy hand.  The “friend” you thought you had but has hurt you through gossip.  The boss who doesn’t support you.  The many childhood dreams that never materialized.  I could go on.  But you know……and it hurts…..and you sometimes cannot see light at the end of the tunnel.
Please do not feel sorry for me.  Of course I am sad, as you may be with your own situation, but…..BUT….there is hope!  Yes, really!
HOPE is a person.
That person is Jesus.  He is the one who will never forsake us, even though our family and friends may.  He is the One who carries us….holds us.  It is OUR journey, and ours alone….with Him; the One who created every living cell.  We get to decide….on our own….how we will make good use of our time on this journey.  We can give up and do nothing….or keep going.  But…there may be certain circumstances where physically we just don’t have the strength to carry on….and there is no guilt or shame in that.  In the time we have left on earth, no matter what the circumstances, we still get to serve the Lord in our actions and words.  The decision is between you and the Lord….because….on that day of Judgement, we each will stand alone and the only question that we will be asked is “What did you do for my Son?”
Praying for each of you…..for strength….comfort….clarity…blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Dearest Lover of my soul, thank You so much for choosing to use Bethany Hamilton to inspire me through the movie on her behalf, Soul Surfer (the below lyric was featured in the movie and I thank You for it as well).  I pray You will continue to use her for Your glory and may she continue to embrace Your very best for her.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Set The World On Fire” by Britt Nicole

I wanna set the world on fire | Until it’s burning bright for You | It’s everything that I desire | Can I be the one You use? ||

[CHORUS]

I, I am small but | You, You are big enough | I, I am weak but | You, You are strong enough to | Take my dreams

Come and give them wings | Lord with You | Nothing I can not do | Nothing I cannot do ||

I wanna feed the hungry children | And reach across the farthest land | And tell the broken there is healing

And mercy in the Father’s hands ||

[CHORUS]

Take my dreams | Come and give them wings | Lord with You | Nothing I cannot do | Nothing I cannot do ||

My hands my feet | My everything | My life, my love | Lord, use me ||

I wanna set the world on fire | I wanna set the world on fire, yeah ||

Take my dreams | Come and give them wings | Lord with You | Nothing I cannot do

Take my dreams | Come and give them wings | Lord with You | There’s nothing I can’t do

Nothing I can’t do ||

I’m gonna set the world on fire | Set the world on fire

LORD, You are the LORD of my life and I thank you for meeting me as always by filling my senses with Your sweetness and helping me to do what You willed.  I found myself in Your embrace, a place like no other.  Thanks for this song that You used to minister to me in addition to countless others.  May I put You first always, continue falling in love with You…I pray to be after Your heart not only in word but in deed and not in the way the world would expect me but in accordance to Your expectation.  I love You, Daddy.

Jesus Culture – Your love never fails

Nothing can separate
Even if I ran away
Your love never fails

I know I still make mistakes
But You have new mercies for me everyday
Your love never fails

Chorus:
You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning

And when the oceans rage
I don’t have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails

Verse 2:
The wind is strong and the water’s deep
But I’m not alone in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails

The chasm is far too wide
I never thought I’d reach the other side
But Your love never fails

Bridge:
You make all things work together for my good

…that only what we do for Christ will last.  We are about to celebrate our son’s first birthday, I pray his life will be about Christ so help us LORD.  I pray we will represent Christ-like legacy for him when it’s all said and done by His grace alone.

As I sit to write before I go about the rest of my evening which I give to You, the below song was brought to mind…You see, I am not a writer, a painter, etc.  I am special because You loves me! I am so thankful for Your love that is like no other.  Thank You, Papa, for loving me so.  Thank You so much for knowing best even when I see things through thick fogs–I would not trade this season for another.  Thank You for my son.  Indeed, he kept me busy today while your son, my hubbie, was at the men’s conference, yet I thank You for who You have made him (and will continue to make him) to be! Now that he is sleeping like a baby, I thank You too.  He is our treasure.  I give him back to You as You well know.  May he grow to be a man after Your heart.  Thank You for choosing us to be his parents.  Help us to be good stewards on his behalf.  Thank You for the wonderful of it all.  Thank You for Your love!

O, THE WONDER OF IT ALL

 (George Beverly Shea)

There’s the wonder of sunset at evening,
The
wonder as sunrise I see;
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is
the wonder the God loves me.

 Chorus:

O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder
of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.

There’s the wonder of springtime and
harvest,
The sky, the stars, the sun;
But the wonder of wonders that
thrills my soul
Is the wonder that’s only begun.

I thank God for life.  He gives and He takes.  This evening I received the news of a baby who died a week shy of estimated due date due to cord that suffocated him or her.  As we pray comfort for his or her parents, I thank God that they can rest in His love in His everlasting arms because God is faithful and sovereign through it all whether pain or not.  Lord, thank You for the opportunity to thank You and to continue to choose Life so that we may live.

This is not the first time that my baby, God’s gift, had fallen

But today’s reminded me of God’s love to me even when I fall.

He warns me but I get to make the choice.

He directs me yet I get to choose to obey or not.

Today, we are thankful for God’s continued

Love, guidance, provision, grace, peace, mercy, faithfulness

But we know we are all about to embark on a new season.

My hubbie and I received this text from our friend and brother:

“God Will OPEN the DOOR! And No man will be able to close it-

a step of faith, that’s all it takes!:)”

I echoed amen because it is true!

Just as I was hurt to see my baby’s tears/blood upon falling,

Our Lord hurts for us too

But the great thing is as we continue to take steps of faith,

He will never leave nor forsake us, He will never tell us

I told you so, and He will forever take us in His embrace

Wiping away our tears while cleaning our blood stains, and

Consoling us with His gentle touch until we are ready

To continue to press on!

Lord Jesus, we look to You and thank YOU for every

Season that You sovereignly bring before us.

I love who You are and look to the providence

You have set before each of us.

We will not fear but continue to walk by faith

And not by sight! Amen.

We mountain.  Shooting stars.  Missions conference.  Those are some of the words that are as pieces of puzzles that was pieced together by the Lord to lead me to marriage.  Before I continue, tonight, God blessed me by this very inspiring movie:  Straight From The Heart.  I am very picky about my movies but this one became one of my favorites thus far.  It contained certain elements that I love and cherish–Music.  Country music.  Dancing.  Mountains.  Pictures.  True love.  Shooting stars.  Being real.  New beginnings.  Being able to love again.  Forgiveness.  Learning from the past, letting go of it, and embracing the present while looking to the future.  Making most of every moment.  Cherishing the simple things of life.  Horses.  Laughter.  Beauty.  Elegance.  Marriage.  I am glad my hubbie and I gave the movie a chance even though we thought it would be horrible.  Thank You, Jesus, for the way You continue to orchestrate my life.  I pray Your perfect will in my life continuously.  You promise and do keep.  Thank You for prayer.  Thank You for calling me into marriage and motherhood.  Thank You always for all things.  I look to You and I know this is only the beginning to You amazing me by who You are to me and all You do not only in me but through me.  It is not about me but You and You alone.  May my life bring You glory.  By the precious grace of God, Daddy, please use me to radiate Your compassion and love to the dying world because You are God–my heart is forever and always Yours, O LORD.
