God is so good and thus, be encouraged and keep walking with Him! Pray, don’t give up!! The is from Mike MacIntosh’s Daily Devotion from 25Aug2008…God used it to speak to me and I pray you as well.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?” He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
Mark 7:5-7

A sister and friend sent this to me Friday, November 30, 2007, 12:44pm.  I am amazed by the Majesty of God for He certainly knows best and I know less.  God bless you!!

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart.

She responded to God’s call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.

But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor’s son.

The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.

You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor’s son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter.

So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.

As she began to cry the pastor’s son stood to speak.

He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

“My fiancee’s past is not what is on trial here.

What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin.

Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?”

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.

Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely.

If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

Psalm 55:23

Mike MacIntosh, 8/21/08 Daily Devotion excerpt from Mark 6:49-51

“…But He desires that we trust in Him through the storms and to not be afraid of the circumstances that life brings.

2 Timothy 1:7 says that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I learned a long time ago that if God has not given us the spirit of fear, who gives us the spirit of fear? It is the Devil. So when you know that you belong to God, then you know that your heart doesn’t have to be troubled about anything, and that His peace can surpass any circumstance in our lives; His peace will surpass any of our understanding. 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out all fear, because fear only brings punishment and torment.

So if you are prone to be paranoid or fearful of people or circumstances, just relax. Take Jesus’ words to heart; “Let not your heart be troubled” (John 14:27). When life is all but peaceful, the Lord will leave His place and walk right on the water if necessary, and He’ll calm that storm. Just trust Him. Be of good cheer. Be happy in the midst of the greatest storms of your life.”

Virginia:  “Life is as a leaf that could fall at anytime…in sickness, there is no

                 room for shame…look to God.”

Amanda:  “Palm of Your Hand”

The world was mine

I had everything planned

Places to go

People to see

I held it all in my hand

Little did I know

I had it all wrong

With trials to face

Faith to grow

A journey ahead, tiring and long

So I fought the good fight

And thought that I’d won

Ready to live

To turn and move on

Just to realize, I’ve only begun

The world, not mine

You have everything planned

Questions still stirring

Faith still growing

I rest in the palm of Your hand

I will not waiver in my love and faith and devotion…no matter what is taken away from me.  I have said this before and I grasp it even more now—You can take away my love and my health and my life and I will never stop praising the Lord Jesus Christ.  Nothing can silence the praise on my lips for my Father in heaven, no amount of fear or darkness or isolation or brokenness.  In fact, I will only praise Him more.  I fully put my heart and soul into His Word and purpose for me, because I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Praise the Father that I can honestly and joyfully proclaim, “to LIVE is Christ, and to DIE is gain” [Philippians 1:21].

It is an honor to recognize the men and women

who are remaining steadfast in Christ come what may.

They open the doors of theirs hearts and home.

These people, whether or not one is aware, continuously

Sacrifice their self interests in order to demonstrate love.

Certainly, God is our ultimate example, yet I thank

Him for His tools.  I exalt Him for giving them

Such compassionate heart.  There are orphans everywhere

And kids who do not have a place to lay their heads.

In fact, there are big kids who may need help too

And how about the people in hospitals who are bedridden?

God uses the type of people I have briefly described

Above and more to bless the helpless and give kids a home away

From home.  My prayer is for His John 3:16 love to continue

To illuminate in our lives.  He is our exemplary; His tools

Are His ambassadors…so, I would like to take this

Opportunity to thank them and thank God for all that

Has done, is doing, and will do through them for it is not in

Vain.  I pray for that love that could only emanate from

Jesus Christ Himself to continue to flow!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see

your good woks, and glorify you Father which is in

heaven. [Matthew 6:16]

Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day
The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating, there were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns upon His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out for His death

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King,
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made its way through the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.
